Lost and found…

The greatest things in life, they say, tip toe behind you when you least expect them to arrive. Success, fame, wealth, et al. But the most important thing in life, always falls from above. Love happens when you least expect it to.

When I had given up hope that everything would one day come together, a flower bloomed somewhere in the valley. When I thought the storm would never end, I saw the lighthouse on the shore. When the earth was trembling down below, a hand held mine. When the night seemed eternal, the first ray of dawn arrived. When the burden seemed too mighty, someone took it off my shoulders.

As I stood there, waiting and watching, and trying to believe, if this was really my life she was changing, she smiled, and I knew what poets and writers, and painters and craftsmen have told us over the eternities, “That love stands tall above all, and those who seek, ye shall find.” All those lonely times now seemed worth the wait. Every tear, watering a blooming rose. To hear this nightingale once, was to know what meloncholy meant.  In the valley of the night, being sorrounded by the Empress of Light was a phenomenon worth waiting a lifetime.

As I lay shattered on a rock after the storm, a hand touched my forehead. I opened my eyes and saw the shore in her dark brown eyes. I dont know if tomorrow will bring rain or sunshine, but I do know, that what goes around comes around. What was once lost will again be found.

Amen!
